ATV & Scooter Rental Requirements

Safety and legality are our highest priorities at Sun & Sea Rentals. Please review our mandatory requirements to ensure a seamless checkout process when picking up your vehicle at our Nassau Cruise Port depot.

Mandatory Driver Checklist

To sign out any ATV or scooter from our Nassau depot, the primary driver must meet and present all of the following conditions:

🔞Age Limit (18+)

All primary operators must be 18 years of age or older. Passengers may be younger, provided they can safely hold onto the seat holds and wear an adult-size helmet.

🪪Valid Driver's License

You must present a physical, unexpired driver's license from your home country. Digital copies or photos of licenses are not accepted. No motorcycle endorsement is required!

💳Credit Card Hold

A credit card in the driver's name is required to process the $200 USD refundable security deposit authorization hold. Debit cards or cash are not accepted for holds.

Signed Waiver

All drivers must sign our standard liability and safety rental waiver at the depot. This can be signed digitally upon arrival in under 2 minutes.

🇧🇸 Driving Rules in The Bahamas

Riding in Nassau is an absolute blast, but there are local regulations and road quirks you must adhere to for your safety:

  • Keep Left: In The Bahamas, traffic drives on the left-hand side of the road. Pay extra attention when entering roundabouts and making turns!
  • 🪖Helmets On: Helmets are provided free of charge for both riders. Wearing helmets is strictly mandated by Bahamian transit authorities at all times.
  • 🚫No Off-Roading: Our ATVs are rented for street transport only. Off-roading on beaches, dunes, or unmarked state reserves is illegal and voids your coverage.
  • 🍹Zero Tolerance Alcohol: Consuming alcohol prior to or while operating our vehicles is strictly prohibited. Local DUI laws are strictly enforced.

Safe Explorer Tips

Our vehicles are fully pre-loaded with digital offline map navigation. They show exactly where the best parking spots are, the quickest route to Paradise Island, and the easiest bypass around downtown Nassau peak traffic.
